I wanted to check out KDE 4.1 because it was suppose to be new and great. I opted to use a VM since it wasn’t likely to be a permanent install. My desktop system is perfectly capable of running VMs, as I have run as many as 6 at one time without too much trouble. I knew I wasn’t going to get the extra compositing effects (compiz, etc), so I planned to just see if I liked it enough to try it on my old laptop, which runs Ubuntu 8.04 with compiz running without a problem.
Fructose is a type of sugar. It’s commonly found in fruits. It’s what makes fruits sweet. Fructose is also found in corn, which makes corn syrup sweet. Normally, fructose is bound to glucose or other sugars and has very low reactivity. However, when freed, it has very high reactivity. Just about all sugars have carbonyls. Depending on the type of carbonyls, this can be good or bad. Apparently, reactive carbonyls are bad, and unbound fructose is full of them.
